My little boy is growing up
ok so not growing up too much yet, But we are thinking in the next few weeks we are going to start him in his own big boy crib! hehe. He's been sleeping in his bed next to us since he's been born and we were thinking when he's about 2 months, we would start him in his crib. Well I figured we would work him into it alittle so I put him down for a nap in it. It looks so big compared to him!! I'm going to be a worry mess the first week he's in there. :( Maybe I'll sleep on the floor next to him a few nights. haha. It's kindof dark becuase I didn't want to wake him up.

Doing great
6 1/2 weeks....
my mom bought him this outfit. :) The hat is still too big but he finally fits into it.
Well things are going great here. I had my 6 week check up to make sure all was great and all was great! :) I can really start working out again, yeah!
Mike weighed Dylan (he got on and then held Dylan and got on and took the difference) the other day and it said he was about 11lbs and some oz's. I don't know how accurate it is, but I bet it's right. He has definitely hit a growth spurt. The little onesies we used to put on him are now little tight leotards! hehe. I'm glad he can start fitting into other things. We held the Texas Tech onesie up and it should fit him right around the time they start playing! yeah! :)
he has this little bump on the back of his head. It's only on one side, it moves which is the good thing from what Becky said. It's a tiny tiny little bump. I'm going to ask them about it next week. Could be anything, but of course I am worried about it, me being the hypochondriac that I am. hehe. Just want to make sure little man is all healthy and stuff.
He's been doing great lately except for some reason when we go to put him in bed about 9:30 he is WIDE awake. We can't get him to fall asleep until about 11:30 or 12:00. I don't know if I'm letting him sleep too long in the mornings (he will sleep until about 11am, not all at once of course but in between feedings). So this morning I made him get up at 9;30 after he ate to see if that helps tonight. So far that's the only problem we are having. We have been giving him a bottle of breast milk at night instead of him feeding from me because he keeps falling asleep while I feed him and won't finish then he's cranky 30 mins later and this cycle continues until midnight. With a bottle, it comes out faster so he can eat and be full and happy! :) So we give him a bottle for his bed time feeding. It seems to be working, but now we just have to get the wide awake thing taken care of. We will figure it all out. hopefully! :) I have been reading up on supplementing too because during the day he wants to eat almost every hour and I don't feel like I'm producing enough for him to eat that often. So he is fussy a lot during the day becuse he's hungry but I don't really have enough for him. Plus I have no time to pump any extras and when I do it's not much at all. So we thought about maybe supplementing one bottle maybe for his night time feeding or maybe one during the day so he can stay fuller longer and I can pump and stuff. We aren't sure on that yet, but we are thinking about it.
Dylan also goes in for his 2 months shots next week. I am really debating on spacing them out, even though I know so many people are against it. I wouldn't like totally not get one of them, I would get all of them, just maybe not all at once, I would just want to space it out alittle. I'm not sure though, i haven't researched it enough. It just seems like so much for their little bodies to take all at once. I have also heard it's such a sad time because they cry so hard. Ugh, I'm going to be a mess!!

My cutie
These are all 6 week pics.
We had a good weekend. Didn't do much of anything, it was nice. :) Friday night we ordered pizza and watched a movie. Dylan was not wanting to sleep at all that night. I was up most of the night with him and had to take some naps on Saturday. Saturday we just were lazy and then also did some things around the house. We went and ate and then the neighbor was having alittle birthday party for his 7 year old, so we headed over there for just alittle bit. There were a bunch of kids over there and they kept touching Dylan and it was making me so nervous. I told Mike not to let them touch his hands or the top of his head. He was carrying him in the baby bjorne thing. I got him home and washed him off, hehe. I'm feeling more comfortable taking him out, but not THAT comfortable. :) I just want to be careful for a few more weeks until he gets them. So we stayed for an hour maybe and then came home and watched a movie. LIke I said nothing exciting what's so ever!! Dylan is doing great. He was up again last night a lot. He peed on the miracle blanket we have so I just put him in his little nightgown that his aunt Tiffany got him and he slept but not for long periods of time. I guess he's used to being swaddled. So I will have to take some naps again today. I am fine doing this without a job, but man I can't imagine being up every hour and then having to go into work. That's going to be rough! I have that second interview with that company on Wednesday. My only concern with it is that one of the requirements said "must be able to work beyond the normal work hours if projects are needed to be finished". I just don't know that I'll be able to do that alot with Mike traveling all of the time and now with Dylan. But I don't want to bring it up becuase then they might be like ok she's obviously not willing to work over time. So I dont know. I guess I won't say anything and just hope that it's not too often. I think it will be a great job though with lots of experience. They also asked me what I was making at my last position instead of what I would like to make, I don't think I like that. So we will see what they offer if they offer it to me. I'm excited though, seems like a fun and good company. :)
I also have my 6 week check up this morning with my dr. I can't believe it's already been 6 weeks! So she will give the green light to work out today, even though I already have been for 2 weeks. hehe.

Dylan update
6 week pics.
Bath time this morning after he peed EVERYWHERE. Me, the walls, his bed, etc. hehe.

This is the look that MELTS my heart. Everytime I give him a bath it's like he looks up at me for reassurance that he will be ok. Such a sweetie!
He loves his swing. You would never know that right before this you would have thought he was going to stop breathing he was crying so hard. haha.

Well, little man is doing GREAT. We had our first bad week, but it's all trial and error so we are getting through it. We are strill trying to figure out a good schedule for him and when to put him to bed, etc. We have been putting him to bed alittle late like 11:30 and it seemed to work but he sleeps until like 11am! (not all at once of course, but he does not want to get up before then). So then I was like sure I can sleep in but what about after I go back to work, I can't stay up until midnight or later every night and sleep in. So last night we put him to bed at 9:30. It was actually really nice to have a few hours before bed to do whatever we needed to do. He fell asleep great and we stayed up watching a few shows we like together until 10:30 and we got a chance to talk and stuff, we don't get to do that often. :) So we are thinking we like this schedule better. Also, I don't think I was pumping enough last week and I wasn't producing enough milk for him so he was hungry all of the time. I would feed him, then he would fall asleep, then he would wake up 30 mins later starving and screaming. So I felt like I was feeding him all day and he was grumpy all day long. It was draining. So then I thought, maybe I could exclusively pump and give him bottles so we always know he's getting enough. HAHA!! one day of that and I was like no way!! I was stuck to the chair pumping most of the day, it was horrible. So nix that idea! Well the past few days I have been doing everything I can to produce more and I think it's working. He's a happy little baby right now playing on his mat all by himself. We had a few bad nights in there but we came through ok. :)
Dylan does the creepiest thing. He sleeps with his eyes open!! and when he's sleeping he will open his eyes alittle and they will roll back in his head. So freaky!
He's gaining weight for sure, I can tell when I hold him. He's holding his head up awesome! he's almost out grown the little while onesies we had him in. They are getting snug. my little boy is already growing up!! hehe. He will be 6 weeks on Monday!
That's about it here. Him and I went on our first walk last night. He was a bit fussy so I put him in the stroller and looked at everything around him at first but then fell asleep. sweet baby.
I just got a second call back for an interview with Crown Imports. They are the makers of lots of beers like Corona, Negra Modela, St. Pauly's Girl and a few others. The position seems like a pretty fun but challening one, so I'm really excited. I'm having sad thoughts of leaving Dylan, but I just think it's best for us for me to start having some income and then for me to get back into the working world. I don't know if I'm the stay at home mom type. I mean I would love it, but I just feel like I would eventually need more interaction from people on a daily basis. I don't feel that way at all right now and feel sad for leaving him but I think I would eventually, just knowing myself.
We are headed on our first road trip to Austin in a few weeks too. I'm so excited to bring him there and show him off to everyone and also nervous about making the drive with the 3 dogs and him. They have plenty of room in the very back though so I think we will be ok. Unless we get someone to feed them for us. We might do that too. We aren't sure.

Great weekend
5 weeks.

The title says it all, we had a great weekend. I'm so excited that we can finally start taking Dylan out more. I still wouldn't take him to like chuck e cheese or anything, but we can get him out of the house atleast. My sanity is glad too! hehe. I can't stand being stuck inside.
So Friday night we went to dinner together until this massive storm hit while we were in the restaurant. Luckily we got out before it really started getting bad though. We got home and watched the new Fast and Furious. We have seen it in the theater but it's a great movie! Then Saturday was sortof my birthday celebration since MIke was out of town on my read birthday.
I woke up and Mike and Dylan had just gotten back from getting me some starbucks breakfast, it was yum. Then Mike cleaned the house and took care of Dylan while I relaxed and watched my cooking shows and ran 3 miles, so relaxing. Then Mike took me to this deli that has my favorite sandwich right now, so yum. Then I got to go to one of my favorite shops and get a shirt, even though I'm not sure I like it anymore. hehe. Then we got back home just in time for my friend Kristie to get there. She was going to watch Dylan for us for a few hours for my birthday so Mike and I could go out to dinner. I was so thankful!! So Mike took me to my favorite little wine place in Grapevine. (I guess it was a day of favorites for me! hehe). This place is so awesome. There are only about 6 tables and then the bar so you have to get there early. But the food and wine list is amazing. Plus they have this woman singing there on saturday nights and she is awesome! So we had a great time. We had great coversations and had the best time. I got to have a few glasses of wine, that was AWESOME! hehe. Then we went home and watched a movie. I had bottles set up for the night since I had a few glasses of wine and thought I would just use those and then sleep great and everything would be fine, ummm no. Dylan was up ALL night. I got about 2 hours of sleep. So Sunday I was worn out, but we had a busy day ahead of us. We first headed to my friend Kristie's house. Her little girl was turning 3 and she was having her family and stuff over to swim and hang out. So that was fun. We would bring Dylan out for about 15 mins then bring him back in since it was so hot out. There was lots of shade and stuff to so he was never in the sun, but it was hot. Mike put his feet in the pool at one point and he HATED that. Poor baby. hehe. He did so great though all day, everyone really enjoyed holding him. Then we went to Mike's friends house. They just got a new house so we went over to see it and have dinner. That was fun, we just hung out and ate. Dylan was getting alittle cranky at this point but still did great. he's such a great baby. We didn't get home until about 9:30 and we were all OUT. So tired!! I enjoy getting out though and hanging out with people and doing things. :) So overrall it was a great weekend.
Oh and I hear back from the one job I interviewed with and they already hired someone else. So that's kindof a bummer, but oh well, back to the drawing board.
