Doing great

6 1/2 weeks....
my mom bought him this outfit. :) The hat is still too big but he finally fits into it.

Well things are going great here. I had my 6 week check up to make sure all was great and all was great! :) I can really start working out again, yeah!
Mike weighed Dylan (he got on and then held Dylan and got on and took the difference) the other day and it said he was about 11lbs and some oz's. I don't know how accurate it is, but I bet it's right. He has definitely hit a growth spurt. The little onesies we used to put on him are now little tight leotards! hehe. I'm glad he can start fitting into other things. We held the Texas Tech onesie up and it should fit him right around the time they start playing! yeah! :)
he has this little bump on the back of his head. It's only on one side, it moves which is the good thing from what Becky said. It's a tiny tiny little bump. I'm going to ask them about it next week. Could be anything, but of course I am worried about it, me being the hypochondriac that I am. hehe. Just want to make sure little man is all healthy and stuff.
He's been doing great lately except for some reason when we go to put him in bed about 9:30 he is WIDE awake. We can't get him to fall asleep until about 11:30 or 12:00. I don't know if I'm letting him sleep too long in the mornings (he will sleep until about 11am, not all at once of course but in between feedings). So this morning I made him get up at 9;30 after he ate to see if that helps tonight. So far that's the only problem we are having. We have been giving him a bottle of breast milk at night instead of him feeding from me because he keeps falling asleep while I feed him and won't finish then he's cranky 30 mins later and this cycle continues until midnight. With a bottle, it comes out faster so he can eat and be full and happy! :) So we give him a bottle for his bed time feeding. It seems to be working, but now we just have to get the wide awake thing taken care of. We will figure it all out. hopefully! :) I have been reading up on supplementing too because during the day he wants to eat almost every hour and I don't feel like I'm producing enough for him to eat that often. So he is fussy a lot during the day becuse he's hungry but I don't really have enough for him. Plus I have no time to pump any extras and when I do it's not much at all. So we thought about maybe supplementing one bottle maybe for his night time feeding or maybe one during the day so he can stay fuller longer and I can pump and stuff. We aren't sure on that yet, but we are thinking about it.
Dylan also goes in for his 2 months shots next week. I am really debating on spacing them out, even though I know so many people are against it. I wouldn't like totally not get one of them, I would get all of them, just maybe not all at once, I would just want to space it out alittle. I'm not sure though, i haven't researched it enough. It just seems like so much for their little bodies to take all at once. I have also heard it's such a sad time because they cry so hard. Ugh, I'm going to be a mess!!

  1. CUTIE PIE...11LBS WHOA THAT BOY IS GROWING.
HE IS LIKE ALL STRETCHED OUT IN HIS BIG BED. HE MIGHT LIKE IT.
THE SHOT THING IS HARD TO GO THROUGH BUT NECESSARY. I LIKE YOUR IDEA OF SPREADING THEM OUT BUT THEN AGAIN IT'S NICE TO GET THEM ALL AT ONCE AND BE OVER WITH IT. HE WILL CRY FOR A WHILE BUT THEN IT'S OVER..
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM AND HOLD HIM.

  2. I spaced Grace's shots out. The 2 things that sucked about it were 1) I had to pay my copay each time we went in. Even if we were only going for the 3 minutes it took for a shot. 2) We had to go almost every month.

But, only 1 time did she get a fever from her shots and it just made me feel better about having them done.
